Shirley lost her major source of inspiration at an early age, her Dad.
Shirley started performing at the age of 7 and her father
Dad built all her keyboard frames & sets for her to perform out with.
After just losing her mother 5 years earlier, the music just
died within her when her father passed...
She decided to retired from the music industry and pursued a college degree in accounting finance. While attending college, a good friend mentioned that the
university had a grand piano in the mansion ballroom at FDU. From that point on, a secret marriage developed between Cason and that baby grand piano. At night,
after class, she would go to the ballroom when no one was there and fill with sound that grand ballroom with one soulful ... heart full... song after another.
During this time at FDU was when she was able to heal her wounded spirit to think about returning to the world of music.
Shirley then went on to build her recording studio at the lake, and proceeded to record her 1st album,
Forever In Bloom.
