As a heartfelt tribute, Shirley created a new keyboard arrangement of A Thousand Years — layering her own instrumentation beneath Janis Ian’s original vocals and guitar, while honoring the timeless essence of Janis’s signature sound.
When Shirley shared the arrangement with Janis, she was so touched that she released it as an official single.
